National Campaign “Artists for Artists”

National Campaign “Artists for Artists” the 22nd Edition

March = guild solidarity month in romanian theater luna. UNITER Fundraising Campaign “Artists for Artists” 2026

Since 2002, the “Artists for Artists” Campaign has become a symbol of solidarity in the Romanian theater community, a call for guild unity, marking the month of March as a moment of authentic human connection between those who bring theater to life. Artist Dragoș Buhagiar has emblematically transformed this idea through the image of intertwined hands, a symbol of mutual protection and support.

MARCH = GUILD SOLIDARITY MONTH IN ROMANIAN THEATRE.

How else can TOGETHER be manifested, if not on stage?

During the 21 editions, the Campaign brought hundreds of performances to the stage, under the sign of protecting and helping artists who, due to health problems, were forced to temporarily or even permanently interrupt their activity. Most of the institutions and theatrical companies in Romania, hundreds of artists understood that theater is alive, that it must remain alive in this accelerated world. They understood that the appearance of theater includes the appearance of people, of artists, of their lives. This was proof of the fact that theater is more than a place of artistic expression: it is a place of life, a place of freedom, and every help extended from the stage contributes to maintaining this freedom.

We are grateful and thank everyone who has supported and will continue to support this campaign!

In 2026, the “Artists for Artists” campaign remains an incentive for guild solidarity, continuing to financially support artists with existential difficulties, but also to draw the attention of the general public and the authorities to the reality of these problems.

How can you get involved?

To support the Theater Solidarity Fund (RO14BRDE445SV17256174450), you can contribute like this:

  • Sponsorships
  • Donations
  • 230 Form, which allows the redirection of up to 3.5% of the annual tax due to this cause
  • Programming of shows under the banner of “Artists for Artists”, with proceeds from ticket sales going to the Theatre Solidarity Fund.

For years, from this charity fund, UNITER has been helping colleagues in the world of theater who are facing limiting situations or chronic medical problems that require constant treatment. There are hundreds of stories, sometimes sad, sometimes with a happy ending, but what is important is that we can react quickly when a helping hand is needed. And to be present, empathetic and of real help. And this is only possible by having a financial fund from which we can help! Together.
