Why be a UNITER member?

We are proud to promote and facilitate all forms of performing arts, of international cooperation, and to improve access to art and culture.

We have projects for young people, from annual ones to constant ones, such as the Young Actor Gala, which has reached 25 editions.

We run programs which reward and promote artistic value.

UNITER members receive a 50% increase in pension, according to Law 8 of 2006.

UNITER finances feasible theatrical projects, carried out by our members who work in cultural associations and foundations, from the Theatre Stamp funds. We are waiting for this more difficult period in terms of receipts from the Theatre Stamp to pass so that we can resume this interrupted effort in 2020. We offer the possibility of covering the cost of transportation for participation in international theatre seminars.

The deceased family members of UNITER receive a funeral grant.

We provide financial support to artist members of any age in case of serious health issues.

We provide access to information from the theater world from Romania and abroad. We are the only place where proposals for amending current theater legislation originate. We offer support and legal advice for UNITER members.

UNITER is an extensive database of artist contact details (phone, email), state and independent theatrical institutions, other personalities, authority representatives, and other institutions.

Free access to theater performances, within the limit of available seats, except for premieres (through the membership card).

Some of the UNITER members, personalities of the Romanian theatrical world, receive merit allowances according to Law 118 of 2002.

And finally, it is honorable to be a part of the theatrical guild, the only union of professional theater artists in Romania, also recognized internationally by important theater organizations (ITI – International Theater Institute, IETM, Pépinières Européennes pour Jeunes Artistes, Culture Action Europe, etc.)
