Marginalized young people and performing arts

The project is included in the program “Sibiu – European Capital of Culture” and organized by UNITER, in partnership with “Radu Stanca” National Theatre in Sibiu and Special School no. 2 from Sibiu.

The project addresses the marginalized young people: marginal communities of rromani (gypsies), orphans, disadvantaged and disabled, who, by using specific techniques of performing arts – play, animation, relationships with the object and with the audience – contribute to enhancing their accessibility to social life.

The aim of the project is to create a series of inter-cultural shows.

Artists from Romania and England participate in the project, coordinated by Prof. Claire Hind form the University of Leeds, who will be working with hearing impaired children during some specialized workshops. The end result is a visual show.
