The selection jury appointed to make the nominations for this edition of the UNITER Awards Gala was made up of the critics Alice Georgescu, Mihaela Michailov and Sebastian-Vlad Popa, and the final jury was formed of Ion Cocora, critic, Marina Constantinescu, critic, Sanda Manu, director, Cristina Modreanu, critic, Irina Solomon, scenographer.

The jury formed of the AICT Office – Romanian section: Ludmila Patlanjoglu (president), Alice Georgescu (vice-president), Natalia Stancu (secretary), Florica Ichim, Ion Parhon, Ion Cazaban, Stefan Oprea (members) has decided on the following awards:

The Critics’ Award:

  • To the director Mihai Maniutiu, for the modern reading program of the classical text, culminating in 2004 with the show Electra after Sophocles and Euripides, staged at the State Theatre in Oradea.

The Award of Honor:

  • To the actor Ion Caramitru, for supporting the values, the professional dignity and the solidarity of the theatre guild over the 15 years of existence of the Theatre Union in Romania.
